The lush archipelago in Blekinge is Sweden’s southernmost. It has numerous islands and bays and is excellent for kayaking. The islands are closely situated with no major thoroughfares for larger boats. Paddling conditions are relatively easy with no tides.
ARK 56 offers a rich animal and bird life and it is possible to spot both seal and eagle. You will quickly find yourself far away from the civilization, completely surrounded by water and wilderness. Look for the perfect spot, set up your tent and make the island your own for the night.
This is a true self-guided adventure for 5 days starting from Kayak Centre Järnavik, strategically located in the middle of Blekinge. Transport back to the starting point is included. We offer flexible pickups, which makes it easier to adapt your route to prevailing weather conditions.
We sort out the practical part - kayaking, camping, and cooking gear is included. Just bring your own sleeping bag, food and personal belongings.
Depending on previous experience you can choose single or double kayaks. Would you like to taste the adventure with a guide? Contact us and we will be happy to arrange a guided 2-day tour for you.
Included equipment: single or double kayak, paddle, life vest, spraydeck, tent, sleeping mat, rope, drybag 20 L, drinking bottle, water pump, spade, pocket knife, map, compass, headlight, camping stove, gas bottle, cooking utensils, eating utensils and cutting board, dishwashing kit, water can 5 L, first aid kit.
We will give tour suggestions that you can decide to follow completely or partially. You will have the opportunity to choose to spend the night at a large number of places that are marked on the map.
Some islands are bird sanctuaries during the period 1st of April until the 15th of July, when there is a ban on landing. Fishing is free in the entire area.
