Large parts of the recreation area consists of nature reserves. Visitors are offered nice walks in both coniferous and deciduous forest. Along the shores steeper parts of the trees are older and a sense of wilderness comes. Halen is Blekinge largest lake and offers along with Raslången Immeln a very popular canoe route.
