If you want to swim with your dog, it is important to remember that dogs are not allowed in the municipal swimming areas. Examples of municipal swimming areas are Sternö, Kollevik, Elleholm, Vägga havsbad, Lilla Öjasjön, Nytäppet, Köpegårda and Långasjönäs. You can find the entire list of municipal swimming areas via link (see Website).In other places where it is possible to swim, The Right of Public Access applies and dogs are welcome, unless otherwise indicated. If your dog is swimming in a place where there are other people, it is important to show consideration. As a dog owner, you are always responsible for your dog. Remember that dogs must be kept on a leash between March 1 and August 20.
